This fine limited edition book, Sporting Wildfowl of the British Isles, published in 1999, is the latest publication by Fine Sporting Interests Limited. It's illustrated by Richard Robjent and written by Brian Martin. The author is one of Britain's foremost country and natural history writers and a keen sportsman. He has compiled detailed accounts of the thirteen species on the quarry list as follows: duck:- mallard, wigeon, teal, pintail, shoveler, gadwall, tufted, pochard and goldeneye, and geese:- greylag, pinkfoot, whitefront and Canada. Also detailed accounts of the four species shot under general license:- the brent goose, barnacle goose, goosander and red-breasted merganser. The book is limited to 350 copies each signed by the author and artist and containing an original sepia sketch by Richard Robjent. Added to this the first 35 copies are fully bound and contain an original watercolour by Richard Robjent.

26,000 words. Fully bound in finest selected mid-blue morocco leather, with raised
bands, silk doublers, three edge gilding,
23.5 carat gold, hand tooled. Gold frames in panels with wildfowl in
centre, pinhead design across raised bands. Wildfowl blocked on front
and back covers. Hand finished gold frames on covers, gold tooling on
board edges and cap. Full roll borders in gold on inside boards. Box
in quarter bound mid-blue morocco with spine to match the book, with woven material
sides, velvet lined and padded inside box. Apart from all copies containing
an original sepia sketch, each of these 35 and 6 presentation copies has tipped-in at the
front an original signed watercolour by the artist Richard Robjent.
